Power Entertainment began more than 30 years ago as a sole proprietorship founded by Melvin Patrick. Today, Melvin is joined by his younger brother, Kelvin Patrick, continuing a family story built around live music, memorable events, and bringing people together.
Where it began
From the field
to the stage.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Melvin built an impressive athletic career. A standout high school football player, he continued his career at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he earned recognition in the university’s Football Hall of Fame. He later spent time playing professionally in the NFL and USFL.
Following an injury, Melvin attended a concert organized by a friend and discovered a new passion for the energy and excitement of live entertainment. That experience inspired him to establish Power Entertainment and begin producing and promoting events throughout the United States.

Kelvin Patrick first became involved by driving the company’s vans to and from shows. That supporting role developed into a family partnership and shared commitment to the business.

Over the years, Power Entertainment has worked on shows at the San Carlos Apache Reservation, the Gila River Indian Community during the Curly Bush era, the Nautical Beachfront Resort in Lake Havasu City, and venues throughout California.
The company’s event history includes performances featuring artists such as Lighter Shade of Brown, N2Deep, CeCe Peniston, and the Ying Yang Twins. Power Entertainment has also contributed to CosFest events featuring live musical performances.
